On the 20th I drove over to Cocoa Beach, FL to go to the brewery that makes Duff beer from The Simpson’s. When I got to Carib Brewery I was expecting something else. They are a big production brewery and their offices are there too. The taproom was very Florida ocean themed. It was a nice taproom, but I was just expecting something else. They didn’t have Duff for sale at all. I think they just brew it for Universal Studios. I got a flight and everything was ok, nothing spectacular. Overall a wasted trip to Cocoa.

I left Cocoa Beach after the brewery and drove up to Daytona so check into my study on the 21st. After I finished giving blood I drove up to St Augustine, FL. This is one of my favorite cities in Florida. I’ve blogged about it before, but I spent more time there on this trip. I spent the whole day walking around downtown, the fort and I went across the bridge.
While downtown I went to Cider Smith. It was right on St. George street, the main walking path with all the shops. I tried the dry apple cider, it was ok. City pics at the bottom.

After I finished up downtown I walked across the bridge to go to Hornski’s Brewing Company. This brewery was awesome. All of the background music was from a record player behind the bar. The bartender was flipping discs all the time. They had a huge collection of records that you could request. They also had a free arcade with all the classics like The Simpsons, X-Men, Terminator 2, a couple Street Fighter’s, Metal Slug, and a bunch more. They had pinball, pool, and darts too. This is my go to brewery in St Augustine. The beers that I tried were good and the staff was fun to talk to.

The last place I went before going to bed was Dog Rose Brewing. Their beer was good, but I didn’t hang out long.
